I have always thought “How sad to die in such a way serving a false god!” Admittedly, I’ve also thought that we were much wiser and wouldn’t have this problem in the US. You wouldn’t ever see Americans rushing to church in droves, especially if they had to walk. We don’t rush around trampling each other. Or do we?

Today in Long Island a Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death by shoppers as they opened the doors for the mad shopping rush. A pregnant shopper was trampled and had to be hospitalized for the risk of having a miscarriage. At least three others were injured. The poor employee was just trying to do his job at Wal-Mart and lost his life. I hope those who fought so hard for their TV, DVD players, and toys will reflect on what they have done. Truly may some good come from this tragedy.
