Did we change, or did God change us? by Lee Roy Dutton, Pastor, Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Odenville
I constantly hear or read where the lost person is told to make a change in their life in order to be saved.
Does man really make a change first?
Because of the rebellious nature of the natural man, would it not be wonderful if God changed the lost person?
Can God do this?
Would God do this?
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom.5:8)
Here we learn that God loved us and died for us before we made a change.
Salvation is by grace and not because someone makes a change.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8-9)
