How Is It With Your Soul?

Do you have someone to ask you the tough questions like:

How is it with your soul?

What are your views of God and Christ and heaven?

Or do you ever ask the hard questions yourself?

I have been in churches all my life and I can only remember once a lady sitting down and asking me similar questions.

During a fellowship meal she asked me about my Bible study time. Not the general what are you studying question, but the what are you really learning and grappling with questions. It wasn’t done to be nosy or to check me out but she was genuinely interested in encouraging me in my Bible Study time.

Do you step out of your comfort zone and encourage another in their Bible Study?

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. ESV

1 Thessalonians 5:14 And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. ESV

Do you see a brother or sister seeming to fade away from church and not ask?

Hebrews 3:12-13
12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.
13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
