Back to Homeschooling

We’ve had a break the past few weeks from homeschooling.  Between my husband and oldest son being off several days, everyone being sick for a week or two and new baby chicks very little has been done around here.   🙁  Time to get back to work with the chores and school work.   Lesson plans and report cards are due soon also.  Those to me are the hardest part of homeschooling; record keeping.

Here is a list of books to use for homeschooling.  They are based off of the Robinson Curriculum,  The nice thing is that these are available online for free.

  1. I’m sorry to hear that you all have been sick 🙁

We started back yesterday, too. It went well and I’m glad to be back on schedule.

Thanks for the great links, It’s been bookmarked:)

Thank you. A couple of us have coughs that we can’t seem to get rid of. 🙁 That then has caused a lack of sleep and going through the day in a fog. We got a little done yesterday but not near as much as hoped for. Maybe each day we will get more and more done and get caught up. Ha!!

Glad you found the links helpful.

  2. My hubby and two of my children had the flu last week so I didn’t get any school planning done like I hoped. So they are off for another few days.

And I agree with you about baby chicks. They are pretty cute, but give me a baby anyday!

    Mama Hen,

I don’t know what we had around here but everyone has had some form or another of it, varied symptoms and varying degrees of sickness. Something that started out as a couple of runny noses developed into what I would guess was the flu. It wasn’t fun having everyone laying around all day long. No one even played in the snow we had. 🙁

I’m sure your kids aren’t complaining about missing a few days of school!

The chicks are growing so fast. Some are getting in real feathers already. One older chick fluttered to the top of the container so soon the lid will go on and then they will be relegated to the garage for a while. More fun though now to walk by and watch them during the day. My “baby” sits at the brooder for hours talking to them, petting them and “taking care” of them.
