Last night after church we stopped at a Krystal’s for some of their square burgers. Krystal’s has had a “Hall of Fame” going on for quite a while. In it they portray the story of a person who loves to eat Krystal burgers.
Guess what one of the Krystal boxes actually said!

The Foolishness of Man
April 17, 2009
Did you catch Easter Eggs dropped from a Helicopter this past Easter?
Or did you focus on the Savior who came from Heaven and died a cruel death so that you might have eternal life?
1 Corinthians 1:21-25
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through [...]
Your World View Affects How You View The Bible
April 15, 2009
When we come to Bible interpretation we see where the world view we bring to the Bible reading affects everything we read. Do we trust the Lord to protect His Word and give us His Truth or do we look for the things that we think are contradictions? This is dependent on our world view [...]
“Christian” Clubs Are On The Rise
March 30, 2009
There is another “Christian” Club for youth in Alabama. Modeled along the lines of The Basement, The Ramp, and The Generation, Outcry is another club like atmosphere where youth gather to listen to “worship” bands, dance and have a “relevant Bible study” thrown in for good measure .
‘Outcry’ of faith

Jehovah’s Witness
March 27, 2009
Yesterday I had a visit from a Jehovah’s Witness lady. She caught me by surprise. She knocked so quietly at the door that I thought one the children was playing around. But surprise someone was on the porch. This Lady had been here at least once before.
She offered me her brochure about the Memorial of [...]
Silly, Weak Willed Women Swayed by Strangers
March 16, 2009
2 Tim 3:6-7
6 For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions,
7 always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. ESV
This verse seems to be explained very well by the following little story.
The Stranger

More On Family Force 5
February 5, 2009
I am glad that more and more people are starting to notice the detrimental effects of much of the CCM music our youth are listening to. I appreciate Ken Silva exposing the problem for a wider audience.

SBC and Labyrinth Walking ???

Labyrinth-Walking Now Welcome in the SBC
We received this week our latest issue of Missions Mosaic, the magazine printed by the SBC for the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). I routinely screen anything coming to our church.
The red flags appeared when I saw an article entitled “Reclaim Meditation”.

“I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer”???
January 12, 2009
“I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer.” If you aren’t especially Christian in your prayer and you aren’t especially Christian in your life then my thought is you aren’t especially Christian at all. You think he will pray “Lord, Lord …”?
Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and [...]
Neale Donald Walsch Caught In Plagiarism
January 7, 2009
New Ager Walsch “Mystified” By His Own Plagiarism
Mystic occultist, Neale Donald Walsch, made his cash and his fame by claiming to have had mystical encounters with a voice he calls “God”. His Conversations with God series was wildly popular for years, and he still travels the world claiming that there is no hell, that even [...]
C.S. Lewis – What Shall We Think of Him?
December 16, 2008
Many people quote C.S. Lewis and I have learned much from reading his materials and books, such as Mere Christianity. However, I greatly disagree with much of his material. One specific instance is in his book The Last Battle, from the Chronicles of Narnia series. In the chapter “Farther Up, and Further In“, Emeth, a [...]
Twilight – Praised by Christian Groups?

Try Jesus !?!
December 9, 2008
Rick Warren – “I dare you to try trusting Jesus for 60 days. Or your money guaranteed back.”
You cannot try Jesus! Jesus is not a product to be sold with a money back guarantee! Our churches are full of people trying out Jesus to see if He works. Then they leave to try the [...]
Regeneration vs Decisionism – Paul Washer
October 27, 2008
Just Sunday morning I sat through a service that included the statement:
“With every eye closed and every head bowed – no one is going to be looking around; raise your hand if ….”
I’m still looking for that verse or even concept in my Bible. Maybe I don’t have the same version they have?
Does this happen [...]
Universal Atonement – Don Fortner
October 21, 2008
The doctrine of universal atonement is blasphemous because:
1. The teaching that Christ died to save all men makes man his own savior.
2. Teaching a universal atonement reduces the love of God to nothing.
3. Teaching a universal atonement reduces the wisdom of God to foolishness.
4. Teaching a universal atonement is a denial of the justice of [...]
God as Masculine but not Male
October 20, 2008
Here are some additional thoughts on the masculinity of God. This is from a pastor, Gerald Hiestand, who is with James MacDonald”s Church Harvest Bible Chapel. Maybe I should retitle my post Why is God Referred to as Male? to Why is God refered to as Masculine.
Godself, Jesusself, and Paulself
We naturally understand that when a [...]
More on the False Teaching of “The Shack”
October 18, 2008
“The Shack” as referred to in the post Why is God Referred to as Male?, is reviewed at Steve Camp’s site in THE SHACK REVIEW…a call to discernment. My husband said just last night that “The Shack” was still on the first page of the CBD catalog, it has been for months.
