Snarky Christians

1. Combination of “snide” and “remark”. Sarcastic comment(s).

2. Biting, cruel humor or wit, commonly used to verbally attack someone or something.

3. verbal ingenuineness that is brief, subtle, yet quite stabbing. snark is often marked by deep creativity & use of psychological attack. It employs coldbloodedness and is best served unprovoked. Snark can contain hidden complimentary meaning under a mean face, but it hurts more than it strengthens.

Is Christianity and Snarkiness compatible?

Any believer can be snarky at times, we all sin and fail to behave in a Christ-like manner.

But can snarkiness be a defining characteristic of a true believer?

I don’t think so.

Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

No snarkiness there!
